MOUNT KISCO, N.Y.-- The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce has launched its own mobile app, Mt. Kisco Buzz.
Introduced to the public this month, the free app, which is available on both iOS and Android operating systems, was created by the chamber to promote local businesses and help everyone from business owners to residents to tourists get connected to the Mount Kisco community.
Developed by chamber member WAM Enterprises LLC, a social media marketing firm, the Mt. Kisco Buzz app features more than 150 local businesses, including restaurants, shops, professional offices and notable landmarks.
“I had been to several chamber and town meetings and could sense the frustration from business owners," said WAM Enterprises LLC founder Mike Wolfe. “We were discussing solutions to help everyone and people really got behind the mobile app idea."
The app's map features allow users to get directions to their destination, as well as visit websites and make phone calls. Other features include local news feeds, including The Mt. Kisco Daily Voice, coupons offered by businesses and the opportunity to connect via social media. In fact, Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce members are listed for free.
“The way people connect and obtain information is changing," said Chamber President Phil Bronzi. “People can now go to one place in Mount Kisco for news, events and to find local businesses."
