The $25.4 million sale price was the highest in A&P's ongoing bankruptcy.
The price was justified by A&P lawyers pointing out the location was the chain's most profitable, reported LoHud.com.
Originally, Stop & Shop had put in a bid of $23 million, but raised it to the current price at the Oct. 1 auction.
