“We are honored to receive this award from the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce and are so grateful to them for recognizing the hard work and commitment of our volunteers,” said Pantry President Laura Desmarais. “We are so proud to be part of the Mount Kisco community where we are committed to creating a healthier and stronger community for all who live here.”
On a weekly basis, the pantry offers hundreds of local families and individuals free high-quality grocery ranging from fresh produce, dairy, eggs, and bread to non-perishables and frozen meat/fish.
The pantry also provides home deliveries to those in need, nutrition and health workshops and assistance in registering for federal food assistance programs.
“We are grateful for the work that the pantry has done and the invaluable service they have provided over the years to make Mount Kisco such a wonderful place to be,” said Board President Dan Taplitz.
The pantry depends on the help of its community volunteers and is committed to creating a healthier and stronger community for all. Each year, more than 190 community members dedicate their time to supporting the pantry. On average, the pantry serves 267 households each week.
