MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Grand Prix New York recently announced the appointment of Emily Schmalholz as director of special events.
Schmalholz has been a New York based event planner for close to a decade, helping to launch Life of the Party Productions, a boutique event planning firm who helped to produce hundreds of successful events throughout the tristate area.
As co-owner of Life of the Party Productions, she specialized in bringing a creative and highly organized hands-on approach to bar & bat mitzvahs, weddings, birthday celebrations, sweet 16 parties and fundraising events.
"Grand Prix New York is an incredibly unique and versatile venue,” said Schmalholz.
“I'm thrilled to join the team and to create fun-filled and memorable events in such an inspiring space."
Schmalholz has worked with many of New York's premiere vendors ranging from world-class caterers and entertainment companies to event stylists that transform any occasion.
Prior to Life of the Party Productions, she wrote, directed and produced television specials for VH1, MTV and CBS.
“Emily’s innovative style, creative flair and unique approach to event planning will insure that every party and client will be handled with a personal touch,” said Nat Mundy, vice president of sales and marketing at Grand Prix New York.
“I’m personally looking forward to working closely with Emily and taking advantage of her extensive knowledge and expertise of event planning and organization to help grow our event business in 2014.”
Schmalholz, her husband, Jay and their two sons, Justin, 13 and Jesse, 11, reside in Armonk.
