Varlese, who joined MKMG in July, 2012, was employed by the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) for 12 years. At GNYHA, she was first an Assistant General Counsel and then an Associate General Counsel, where she focused on legal and regulatory issues for GNYHA’s member hospitals and long term care facilities.
Prior to joining GNYHA, she was Counsel to the New York City Council Committee on Health, and prior to that an associate at two New York City Law firms.
Varlese attended New York University, where she received a B.A. degree in psychology and politics magna cum laude and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.
