KATONAH, N.Y. -- Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts invites the community to experience its Pops, Patriots and Fireworks event that includes a music performance, picnics on the lawn and a fireworks display on Friday, July 4.
The concert, beginning at 8 p.m., features a program full of Americana favorites including Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever", Tchaikovsky's "1812" Overture and a selection of pop favorites to be performed by Westchester Symphonic Winds, led by conductor Curt Ebersole, saxophone soloist Lois Hicks-Wozinack and vocalist Ryan Silverman. Robert Sherman, who is known for working with WQXR for over half a century, will serve as the host for the day.

Silverman is making a return appearance at Caramoor after performing in the 2013 Summer Music Festival Opening Weekend production of "She Loves Me."
Currently appearing in "Side Show" at the Kennedy Center, his long list of credits include playing Billy Flynn in "Chicago" on Broadway, a Drama Desk and Drama League-nominated performance in the role of Giorgio in CSC’s production of "Passion" and the part of Raoul in "The Phantom of the Opera" on Broadway and in Las Vegas.
