The conference will address the emotional and physical challenges caregivers face in caring for loved ones of all ages.
Gwen and Alvin Clayton, owners of Alvin and Friends restaurant, will provide the keynote address. Both are caregivers to older parents. A selection of Alvin Clayton’s artwork will also be exhibited in the library’s Lumen Winter Gallery for the event.
Ellder law attorneys, geriatric social workers and geriatric care managers will be at the conference to help caregivers with their various concerns.
Representatives of Westchester’s innovative TIPS (Telehealth Intervention Programs for Seniors) will demonstrate their services of monitoring blood pressure, pulse rates and oxygen levels and will provide information on wrap-around services.
A wide assortment of free materials from representative organizations and agencies of the Caregiver Collaborative will also be available.
