Saddle Brook Mayor Issues Anti-Nepotism Order

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. – Mayor Bob White has issued an executive order forbidding the spouses, children, parents and siblings of elected officials from employment in the township, according to northjersey.com.

The anti-nepotism order, effective since its issuance Monday, comes after the Township Council failed to adopt a similar ordinance, the report said. Relatives of Saddle Brook department and division heads also are precluded from employment by the township under the order. 

Those relatives who currently work for the township will be allowed to stay in their positions, but elected officials must abstain from voting on their promotions, the report said.
