Come To Mount Kisco For Tree Lighting, Carols

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Mount Kisco will be offering holiday celebrations in downtown on Friday night, which will culminate in the village's annual Christmas tree lighting.

The event is co-sponsored by the village's Recreation Commission, the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce and the Mount Kisco Public Library. It will take place in the plaza that is between village hall and the library building.

Festivities are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m., with crafts at the library. A reading of "The Night Before Christmas" will be held at 5:30 p.m., while carols and the tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m. After that, visitors can head to the library to see Santa Claus, and to get hot cocoa and cookies.
