Detective Lt. Shawn Kudlacik was on patrol when he spotted the white Ford Econonline, which had been reported stolen earlier Saturday, at the intersection of Mount Pleasant and Paterson avenues, Police Chief Carmelo Imbruglia told Daily Voice.

A quick check with headquarters confirmed the theft, the chief said.

Kudlacik pulled the van over on Pine Street, a dead end, and arrested the driver, Brandon Olivier, and his passenger, Armazi Bakradze, 21, also of Wallington.

In the van, he found some crack and two glassine pipes jused to smoke it, Imbruglia said.

Olivier "admitted to stealing the keys from 551 Main Ave and exchanging the tools that were in the van for crack," he said.

He was charged with burglary, receiving stolen property and drug and paraphernalia possession and ordered held on $1,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail. Olivier also received summonses for driving with a revoked license.

Bakradze was charged with the same drug counts and released on a summonses.
