Lakewood Pair Nabbed In Cocaine Sweep, Brick Police Say

Two alleged drug dealers have been arrested in Ocean County, authorities said.

After a multi-agency investigation, Brick police reportedly made four warranted searches that resulted in two arrests in connection with a drug investigation in Brick and Lakewood townships, a police spokesman said on Monday.

Residential search warrants were made on Laurel Avenue in Brick and in the Wood Lake Manor and High Point Complexes in Lakewood, according to Sgt. Jim Kelly. One warranted search was made on a vehicle, according to Kelly.

James Brown Jr., 40, of Lakewood was arrested for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia, the spokesman said.

Brown was being held in Ocean County Jail.

Ricky Enalls, 42,, of Lakewood was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, the sergeant said.

Enalls was released on a summons.

Brick Township Police Chief James Riccio acknowledged assistance from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Lakewood police and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office SWAT.
