Island Empanada hosted the grand opening on Sunday, Aug. 15 Lindenhurst, at 646 North Wellwood Ave.
Owners Roy and Kathy Pelaez also operate eight other locations on Long Island.
The menu for the Lindenhurst location includes a wide variety of empanadas, from chicken, beef, and pork to spicy cheese and bacon mac and cheese. The menu also includes plant-based options.
For those with a sweet tooth, they also offer dessert empanadas in flavors including guava, Oreo and apple caramel.
