New School Year Sees New Superintendent And Principal For Norwood

NORWOOD, N.J. -- This year, Norwood Public School District will have two new leaders at the helm, as superintendent and principal.

Lisa Gross, who has been in the education field for 28 years, will be Norwood's new superintendent, and Vito DeLaura will be Norwood Public School's new principal.

DeLaura has been a Norwood teacher for the past 20 years.

Gross was an elementary teacher and assistant to the principal in the South Orange-Maplewood School District for 16 years. She also was a principal in the Westwood and Randolph School Districts for a total of nine years, and she was Roseland School District's superintendent for the past two years.

Gross received a bachelor's of fine arts at Rutgers University/Mason, and two master's degrees from Seton Hall University.

"I ... consider it a privilege to develop a partnership with the school, parents and community," Gross said on the district's website. "I look forward to meeting everyone personally."
