Nonprofit Westchester Kicks Off #GivingTuesday In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino joined with Nonprofit Westchester to proclaim today, Dec.1, 2015, #GivingTuesday in Westchester to help raise awareness for the international day of giving.

Together, they are encouraging everyone to celebrate the global day dedicated to giving back. Charities, families, businesses, community groups and students around the world will come together today to recognize giving by donation money to their favorite charity or volunteer services. 

Tarrytown-based Nonprofit Westchester is leading the campaign in Westchester in partnership with The Journal News and lohud.com. Last year, #GivingTuesday brought together 30,000 partners in 68 countries.
