Pace University Presents Panel Event That Focuses On Hope, Healing

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pace University's College of Health Professions is holding a speaker series that focuses on the best practices to foster hope, healing and resilience over time during trauma and loss at "A Conversation with Project Rebirth" on the university's New York City campus on Monday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m.

Pace University's New York City campus is at 1 Pace Plaza, Bianco Room, entrance at 3 Spruce St., across from City Hall. 

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.; program starts at 6 p.m. A reception will follow. Light refreshments will be served.

Project Rebirth and Pace University's College of Health Professions Dean Harriet R. Feldman, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, will convene a panel to discuss how to cope with grief and loss. 

Project Rebirth’s suite of 11 films, including Peabody Award-winning "Rebirth," is the most complete public video record of people coping with grief and traumatic loss. The short film "Rebirth: Tanya" will be premiering during this event, prior to the panel discussion.

Panelists at the event include: • Renee McLeod Sordjan, DNP, FNP-BC, RN, four-time alum of Pace University and Clinical Assistant Professor at Lienhard School of Nursing. • Jane Bear-Lehman, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, professor and chair, Department of Health Studies, College of Health Professions, Pace University. • Aaron Leonard, executive director, Project Rebirth. • Tanya Villanueva Tepper, "Rebirth" film participant, speaker, writer and resilience queen.
