Support Connection Gives Nutrition Tips In Mount Kisco

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Support Connection Inc., a Yorktown Heights-based nonprofit, is offering a free nutrition-education program for people living with breast, ovarian and gynecological cancers. The program will be available on Wednesday.

“Functional Nutrition and Your Health” will be offered Wednesday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 85 E. Main St., Mount Kisco.

This workshop will focus on how to use food, nutrients and supplements to support and restore health after a cancer diagnosis. Topics include:

  • Improving overall wellness with nutrition and lifestyle.
  • Integrating healthy food into meals.
  • Explaining labeling of supplements.

The speaker is Mary Gocke, registered dietitian, functional medicine nutritional counselor and director of nutrition at Blum Center for Health.

The workshop runs from 6:30-8 p.m.
