Valhalla's Kensico Dam Lights Up For Its First-Ever Winter Wonderland

VALHALLA, N.Y. -- More than 2.5 million LED lights transformed Kensico Dam Plaza into a festive winter wonderland.

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino was on hand this weekend to flip the light switch as was Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathleen O’Connor, Con Edison Director of Public Affairs Jane Solnick, Friends of Westchester County Parks Executive Director Joe Stout, Friends of Westchester County Parks Chairperson, Joanne Fernandez, Michael Israel, president and CEO of Westchester Medical Center, as well as jolly old Santa.

Westchester’s first-ever Winter Wonderland features an outdoor recreational ice skating rink, boutique vendors, sleigh-rides, a heated indoor food court, a Santa experience and more.
