MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- The music group "Being Don & Nothingness" presents a benefit concert for the Westchester Klezmer Program at the MTK Tavern in Mount Kisco.
The concert will be at 30 Main St. on Saturday, Dec. 12.
There will be two shows:
- 6-9 p.m. family show-WKP Youth Ensemble & BDN
- 9 p.m.-closing-WKP Adult Ensemble & BDN
Tickets for the first show do not permit the holder to stay for the second show.
Proceeds from the show benefit the Westchester Klezmer Program. The Westchester Klezmer Program is an intergenerational klezmer band program . It is a not-for-profit corporation operating a music performance program to promote community service through klezmer (a traditional form of Jewish dance music).
Westchester Klezmer Program musicians participate by learning and rehearsing klezmer music and then performing at nursing homes, programs for children with special needs, programs for developmentally disabled adults, synagogues and other community based events.
Tickets are $10 if purchased at the door or directly through WKP. Tickets can be purchased online for $12 by clicking here .
Tax Deductible donations are accepted by clicking here . The WKP is a tax-exempt organization. $10 of the ticket price is tax deductible.
