BEDFORD, N.Y. — Performances of the hit Broadway musical "Legally Blonde," an open house for the Harvey School's summer camp and Kabbalah yoga are among the events happening in the Bedford / Mount Kisco area this weekend.

Rippowam Cisqua School Foundations of Education Lecture Series : 10 a.m. Rippowam Cisqua School's Foundations of Education Series continues with a return visit from Dr. Michael Thompson, bestselling author and psychologist specializing in children and families. Thompson will give a talk titled "Best Friends, Worst Enemies: Friendship Development, Popularity and Social Cruelty in Childhood." The lecture is free and open to the public. Energize Presentation to Seniors: 11 a.m. Somers resident Flo Brodley will give a short presentation about how local homeowners can take advantage of New York State incentives and income-qualified subsidies for energy-efficient improvements to their homes, as well as benefits by the local Energize Bedford program. These benefits include access to an independent energy coach and application assistance. Brodley has first-hand experience with the Energize Somers program and will answer questions. "Legally Blonde ": 7:30 p.m. The Eclipse Theatre Company presents its production of "Legally Blonde," a Broadway musical based on the novel "Legally Blonde" by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name. The show tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend, Warner. She discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others, and successfully defends exercise queen Brooke Wyndham in a murder trial. Tickets are $12.
