Finance Committee meeting: 7:30 p.m. Village Hall, 104 E. Main St., Mount Kisco.

Solving New York's Unfunded Mandate Crisis: 7:30 p.m. “BEST4NY” (Better Education and Smarter Taxation For New York), a non-partisan citizens advocacy group based in Westchester, will have a public forum and information meeting entitled “Solving New York’s Unfunded Mandate Crisis.” Forum speakers will include Brian Kolb (R,C,I-Canandaigua), New York State Assembly Minority Leader, and George Oros, Chief of Staff for Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino. Wednesday, Oct. 3

Mount Kisco Rotary Club weekly meeting: Noon. Holiday Inn, 1 Holiday Inn Drive, Mount Kisco.

Beautification Committee meeting: 1 p.m. Village Hall, 104 E. Main St., Mount Kisco.

Canciones Con Abuelita: 4 p.m. Come and have fun at a Spanish-language story time filled with songs and finger plays for children ages 18 months to 5 years. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Mount Kisco Public Library, 100 .E Main St., Mount Kisco.

Join the Mt. Kisco Ancient Fife & Drum Corps: 7 p.m. The Mount Kisco Fire Department Ancient Fife & Drum Corps will be having its annual registration for new members. Registration is open to children in fourth grade and up. No musical experience is necessary. There is a $25 registration fee, which includes a fife or drum sticks. Thursday, Oct. 4

Fall Mommy & Me Classes Begin at Bet Torah Nursery School: 9:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m. Shari Harris, a psychotherapist with a private practice in Mount Kisco, will lead the Mommy & Me Toddler group from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and the Mommy & Me Infant group from 10:45-11:45 a.m. New this year will be weekly visits from the nursery school's music specialist and guest speakers in November and December. Also new this year is a Daddy & Me Bagels and Blocks program on select Sunday mornings with no fee for families enrolled in Mommy & Me. Bet Torah, 60 Smith Ave., Mount Kisco.
