What's Happening Around Mt. Kisco This Weekend

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. —A book launch for a new skin care guide, a benefit gala for the Mount Kisco Child Care Center and an orienteering challenge are among the events happening around Mount Kisco this weekend.

Friday, Sept. 21

Book Launch for "The Skin Regime: Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin": 7 p.m. Dana Ramos's official book launch party features food and drinks and a free raffle. A part of the proceeds from this event will go to The Skin Cancer Foundation. MMA Fit, 333 N Bedford Road, Mount Kisco.

Saturday, Sept. 22

Three Fun Fall Events at Westmoreland Sanctuary: 12 to 2 p.m. Join Westmoreland staff for cider making at 12 p.m. to learn about making apple cider at home. Then, try out Orienteering 101 at 1 p.m. and learn the basics of navigation using a map and compass. Tractor rides through Westmoreland's forest wagon trail will begin at 2 p.m. Westmoreland Sanctuary, 260 Chestnut Ridge Road, Mount Kisco.

Eighth Annual Feed Me Fresh: An Edible Evening : 7 to 11 p.m. Come out and party for a good cause at the Mount Kisco Child Care Center’s annual gala honoring Frances and Isidoro Albanese of Frannie's Goodie Shop and Bellizzi in Mount Kisco, and Curtis Beusman of Curtis instruments and the Saw Mill Club. Ivanna Farms, 153 Wood Road, Bedford Corners.

Sunday, Sept. 23

Little Blessings 10-Year Anniversary: 12 p.m. Little Blessings is celebrating the completion of 10 years by welcoming new students, old students, church members and members of the Mount Kisco community for free hot dogs, hamburgers, beverages, ice cream and fun kids’ activities including a bouncy castle. Little Blessings Children’s Center, Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 15 S Bedford Road, Mount Kisco.

Orienteering Challenge: 10 a.m. Westmoreland Sanctuary and Hudson Valley Orienteering (HVO) will be hosting an event in celebration of National Orienteering Day. Come test out a range of beginner to advanced courses, and learn more about the sport at free instruction sessions.
