Croton Creek Steakhouse And Wine Bar, 4 W. Cross St., Croton Falls. (914) 276-0437

Why Go: The countrified, yet stylish, North Salem hamlet of Croton Falls is noted for its charm and lack of corporate logos. Located in a smallish strip mall near a fire station, this restaurant might fly under the foodie radar were it not for its juicy steaks and giant Kobe burgers. The twist it puts on its meat-centric menu for Sunday brunch and its newly renovated garden and outdoor patio make the hunt for Croton Creek worthwhile. And, conveniently, it’s just a stone’s throw from Interstate 684.

Worth Waking Up For: Romanian steak and eggs with hollandaise sauce. Their oyster or vegetarian versions of Eggs Benedict. Cobb salad with chicken, bacon, avocado, eggs and gorgonzola cheese. Beverages include Bellinis (sparkling white wine and peach nectar), Bloody Marys, martinis, and espresso.

When: Sundays, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Prix Fixe? No. Menu items are individually priced.
