Mount Kisco Residents Serve As Hosts At NWH Event On Protecting Joints

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Kerry Tomson, Mount Kisco resident and supporter of Northern Westchester Hospital, will serve as a co-host along with Daisy Lee, a Mount Kisco resident, at Northern Westchester Hospital's "Protecting Your Joints at Any Age: Exercise, Sports and Aging" on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.

The discussion will focus on common joint injuries for youth and adults and provide an overview of symptoms, treatment options, assessments, surgical procedures and post-operative care. It will also focus on paying attention to joints, exercise, balance and rehab. 

Tomson has three children who attend Fox Lane High School. She and her family have visited the Northern Westchester Hospital emergency department on numerous occasions gaining first-hand knowledge of the high-quality care provided by the hospital and are committed to supporting Northern Westchester Hospital.

Tomson enjoys all outdoor activities, especially running and skiing, and chose to host this speaker series because the topic of joint preservation is a very important to her and other sports enthusiasts. 

Expert speakers will include Dr. Eric Grossman, an orthopedic surgeon and co-director of Joint Replacement Surgery at the Orthopedic and Spine Institute at Northern Westchester Hospital, and John Battles, a physicians’ assistant and program administrator at the Orthopedic and Spine Institute at Northern Westchester Hospital.
