New American Tavern Opens In Chappaqua

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Chappaqua Tavern, in the space that used to be King Street Bar & Grill, is now serving brunch, lunch and dinner, just in time for the holiday season.

The restaurant officially opened Dec. 8. It's owned by the same folks who run Darien Social in Darien, Conn.; the owners have used a similar formula for their second location, billing the eatery as a classic American tavern with comforting, tried-and-true favorites, classic cocktails, craft beers and occasional live music and events.

Expect burgers, pizzas, fresh local salads and entrees such as drunken salmon, chicken chardonnay and grilled tuna, along with a host of casual fare such as fish and chips, short-rib grilled cheese and salmon BLT.
