MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Northern Westchester Hospital staff and employees wore red to raise awareness of the dangers of heart disease on Friday in honor of National Wear Red Day and Go Red For Women day.

The emergency department at the hospital had a huge turn out of employees who participated in the cause. 

According to the American Heart Association, heart disease kills more women than men.

National Wear Red Day is held on the first Friday in February to raise awareness about heart disease being the number one killer of women.
