Former Mt. Kisco FD Foreman, Bancroft Dies at 60

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - Lifelong Mt. Kisco resident, Martin E. Bancroft died suddenly on Nov. 15 at the age of 60.

He was born on Aug. 15. 1951 in Mt. Kisco. Bancroft owned a commercial printing company called Mar Graphics. He also worked as a driver for Chappaqua Transportation.

As a 43-year active member of Union Hook and Ladder Company in Mt. Kisco, Bancroft served as commissioner, foreman, president and most recently co-chairman of the Truck Committee.

Surviving are his longtime girlfriend Sara Amuso, his sisters Betty (Harry) Miller and Joan Clark, his brother Robert (Diane) Bancroft) and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home in Mt. Kisco on Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, followed by interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Kisco.
