Frannie's Goodie Shop Gives Back to Mount Kisco

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - Since Frannie's Goodie Shop opened in April it has been supplying Mount Kisco residents with delicious frozen yogurt and smiles. Now, it's adding money to the list.

The owners of Frannie's Goodie Shop decided to start a program selecting one local non-profit organization during each fiscal period and donating 10 percent of sales on select items to that organization.

The Mount Kisco Child Care Center is the beneficiary of the shop's generosity. Development Director Keri Reitman said she is "extremely happy" that her organization was selected.

“The monetary donations we receive from Frannie's Goodie Shop will go directly to our scholarship funds,” said Reitman. “Our scholarships are awarded to low and moderate income families that need help paying for their child care.”

Frannie's will be hosting a Pumpkin Painting Party on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. There are 100 free pumpkins, however Christine Pesola, General Manager of Frannie's Goodie Shop, said she hopes people will donate money that will be given to the child care center.

“For us, we use this program as a way to give back to our community,” said Pesola. “Our community has supported us since we opened and we feel it's important for us to give back to those that have supported us.”
