Joan Racioppo, 65, Longtime Mount Kisco Resident

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. – Joan Racioppo, a longtime Mount Kisco resident, died May 7 at her home after a long illness. She was 65. 

A daughter of the late John F. and Eleanor Murphy, she was born Jan. 18, 1947 in Mount Kisco. Racioppo was a graduate of Horace Greeley High School and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. She worked locally for many years at the Trans World Airlines, Pomegranate Press and for the Town of New Castle. She had a passion for style, ballet, dance and all things equestrian.

She is survived by her husband, Gerard Racioppo; two sons, Christopher (Nancy) and Matthew; a brother, John (Ellen); a sister, Patricia (Charles) Kupetz; and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Murphy. 

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home in Mount Kisco. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Saturday St. John and St. Mary Little Church in Chappaqua.

Memorial donations may be made to Pegasus Therapeutic Inc. in Brewster, N.Y., or a favorite charity.
