Katonah Comes Together To Show Solidarity In Vigil For Charlottesville

A vigil was held Sunday night in downtown Katonah in to show solidarity with the people of Charlottesville and in honor of Heather Heyer, the woman who was struck by a car protesting white supremacists Saturday.

The vigil featured a moment of silence, a lighting of candles and a reading of Martin Luther King, Jr's "I Have A Dream" speech. Attendees carried signs like "Love Wins," and "Black Lives Matter."

County Executive Rob Astorino said on Twitter that white supremacism had no place in America.

"We stand together against virulent hatred and political violence," Astorino said.
