EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Dante is back and he's better than ever. So proclaims the news on the Farm to Fork Chef website.
That's because Dante Giannini, a personal chef to Singer Jimmy Buffett and an Eastchester native, has created a host of services for busy Westchesterites. His company, Farm to Fork Chef, LLC, which he founded in October 2015, serves as an online chef concierge service and editorial platform for food lovers around the world. The brand consists of three parts: chef concierge service, editorial platform and store.
The brand was started by Giannini, now a resident of Tarrytown, with one single thought: extraordinary food lies in the quality of the ingredients themselves. His secret ingredients come straight from local farm stands.
“What’s in season will naturally taste the best," he said.
"We have an elite trained staff of chefs for the utmost private dining experience," he explained. "Tell us what you want to eat and we will find you the ideal chef – it is that simple."
The site services the area with chefs for Westchester and the Hudson Valley. It also provides a variety of recipes and informational tips on cooking.
Giannini, a Food Network "Chopped" winner, knows what residents like. He got his start at Bronxville Field Club as a dishwasher, eventually working his way through the kitchen. He bounced around jobs in the City and then came back to Westchester and landed a Jr. Sous Chef position at The Castle on the Hudson in Tarrytown.
Along the way he's also cooked for Madonna, Rebecca Minkoff, and David and Lauren Lauren.
And, he's created a product called Montauk Salt, mainly because he couldn't find what he wanted at the market. "I use infused finishing salts on everything. Its near in dear to me because tasty food would not be tasty without its first layer of seasoning of salt," he said.
Among his favorite things to cook: Seafood seafood and more seafood. "I love how delicate it is, and how it's almost pre-seasoned coming out of salt water."
