5 Friends, Four From Westchester, Split $106M Lottery

YONKERS, N.Y. -- A group of five friends, two of them limousine drivers, will split $106 million after winning the latest Mega Millions drawing with a winning ticket purchased in Yonkers, according to lohud.com.

One of the limousine drivers, Edgar Lopez, purchased the winning ticket that he will split with his friends from Yonkers, Manuel Hernandez and his wife Acela, a housekeeper; Miguel Acosta, an HVCA business owner, and Angela Pares, a daycare teacher from New Jersey, said lohud.com.

They group, who say they have been playing the lottery together for 10 years, were presented with a ceremonial check Thursday, Oct. 29 at Empire City Casino in Yonkers, added lohud.com.

They purchased the ticket on Sept. 11 at Yonkers Grocery & Convenience Store on Yonkers Avenue, said lohud.com.
