  • A suspect dubbed the "Bicycle Bandit" was arrested in connection with a series of armed robberies of banks, gas stations and convenience stores in Westchester and Putnam counties.

  • Richard (Dick) Clarke Crabtree of Chappaqua died Dec. 12. He was 84. Crabtree is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Mimi) Hannon; seven children; 18 grandchildren; a great grandson; many cousins; and nieces and nephews.
