Bedford police are asking drivers to stay away from Greenwich Road and Routes 22, 172, and 121 by the Village Green between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
The race, which bills itself as the “hardest 5K in New York” starts at 9 a.m., according to the organizers’ website.
The course begins at the Bedford Village Elementary School on Court Street. The half-way point is just past the top of Indian Hill Road – not, the website said, for the “faint of heart.” It finishes up at Bedford Village Memorial Park.
Sponsoring the event are: Lloyd Bedford Cox Insurance, Rippowan Cisque School, Danziger and Markhoff, Landmark Preschool, Douglas Elliman Real Estate, Northern Westchester Hospital, Small Joys gift store, Myong Gourmet, and Mount Kisco Sports.
