The Westchester County Medical Examiner's office identified the man as 29-year-old Haniel Reyes Rosario.

The victim's cause of death, according to the medical examiner's office, was due to smoke inhalation and burns. He was a resident of the house affected, the medical examiner's office added.

Mount Kisco Highway Department employees, who were going through the neighborhood on Wednesday morning, rescued a woman in the house but were unable to save the man due to the severity of the blaze Mount Kisco Fire Chief Mario Muccioli previously said.

Firefighters were also unable to save the victim, according to Muccioli.

The house is located at 121 St Marks Place.
