Mohegan Lake Man Charged With Driving While Intoxicated

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Anthony Liburd, a Mohegan Lake resident, has been charged with driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor and failure to maintain lane, a traffic infraction, on Wednesday, according to Yorktown police.

Police said an officer was on patrol on East Main Street when he observed a Honda being driven erratically. The officer conducted a traffic stop on East Main Street. Investigation revealed that Liburd was driving while intoxicated, according to police. He was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing.

Following processing on the charges, Liburd was issued traffic tickets on the charges and released without bail to a friend. He is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, June 2 at 6 p.m.
