Motel Robbery, Possible Shooting Under Investigation By Peekskill Police

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill Police are looking for two people after a robbery and possible shooting at the Peekskill Motor Inn Saturday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the motel after an employee reported a disturbance outside on the property. Arriving officers learned that a group hired to DJ and perform at an earlier private party were invited back to the motel by a motel guest, according to police.

While several in the group were checking into the motel, two from the group were outside waiting when they were approached by two males armed with handguns who robbed them of their jewelry and cell phones, according to police.

There are conflicting reports that a shot was fired during the robbery, however no injuries were reported, police said.

Police are looking for two men in their twenties. One is described as a 5-foot-10, 160-pound light-skin black male with braids and the other as a  5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6 130-pound  medium skin black male. Police said they are also are investigating reports that the suspects had attended the earlier party and specifically targeted the victims at the motel.
