ARMONK, N.Y. -- The Bristal Assisted Living at Armonk welcomed members and guests from five area Chambers of Commerce for a fundraising event that raised more than $2,895 to benefiti the Alzheimer's Association.
"We’re thrilled to be a part of this special multi-chamber event benefiting the Alzheimer's Association. We truly appreciate The Bristal Assisted Living Communities ongoing partnership and their efforts to spearhead this event," said Beth Jabick, Director of Corporate Relations, Alzheimer's Association, Hudson Valley Chapter. "The Alzheimer's Association is present in the local community to enhance care for those living with the disease and to advance research to end Alzheimer's and dementia."
Members and friends of the Armonk, Greenwich, Mount Kisco, Chappaqua-Millwood and Somers chambers gathered for a poolside cocktail and networking reception on Aug. 3. The Bristal provided the event space free of charge.
"Bringing all these organizations together to benefit the Alzheimer's Association is a first for us and moves us one step closer to realizing our vision of a world without Alzheimer's., said Leslie Hinshaw, the chapter’s Director of Volunteer Development and Supporter Events. "
The money will be split between the Alzheimer's Association's Hudson Valley and Connecticut chapters.
“Multi-chamber opportunities get our members to think beyond the communities we serve, and this event brings much-needed attention to Alzheimer’s disease,” Chamber President Neal Schwartz said.
