Mount Kisco Partners In Prevention Will Host Drug Take Back Day

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Two events in April will address the growing problem of drug abuse and addiction in Westchester.

A prescription drug take back day will be hosted by Mount Kisco Partners in Prevention on April 26 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Mount Kisco Police Station on 40 Green St. On April 29 from 7 - 9 p.m. there will be a town hall meeting at the Chappaqua Library on 195 S. Greeley Ave. as part of a program titled "The Face of the New User."

The abuse of prescription drugs and the use of heroin has reached a crisis level in Westchester.  The meeting will address the problem in northern Westchester and Putnam counties, and discuss how to protect families, friends, and communities.

The event’s panel of speakers will include prevention and treatment professionals, law enforcement, community coalitions, and news media.

Event participants will be on hand at 6:15 p.m. in the Chappaqua Library’s gallery to provide additional information.
