Mount Kisco Planning Board Controversy Leaves Members In Limbo

MOUNT KISCO, N. Y. -- Four Mount Kisco Planning Board members say they are in limbo about whether they will continue on the board as Mayor Michael Cindrich says he is working on "sensitive" issues relating to the board that are in the best interests of the village, according to The Examiner.

The issue was raised during a recent Planning Board meeting when one trustee asked why no decision had been made to reappoint them as their terms expired. The four Planning Board members said they believe village officials are reacting to some negative feedback from developers about the board, The Examiner says.

In a statement, Trustee Anthony Markus said officials have appointed a task force to take a look at the Planning Board, and officials are in the midst of reviewing recommendations, The Examiner says.
