MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Mount Kisco's Village Board of Trustees unanimously approved the 2015-16 village budget when it met on Monday.
The budget underwent some modifications since it was proposed, Mayor Cindrich noted at the meeting.
The adopted budget has a tax rate increase of 2.75 percent, Cindrich said, which is a smaller increase than the 3-percent hike previously proposed. As a result, the rate will be $97.4533 per $1,000 of assessed property value.
The tax levy, which represents the total amount of tax revenue to be collected, will rise by about 2.2 percent, Cindrich added. This will bring the levy to about $14.5 million.
Under the budget, spending will rise by about $380,000, he said.
The budget covers Mount Kisco's upcoming fiscal year, which runs from June 1 to May 31, 2016.
