MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Mount Kisco's Village Board of Trustees meeting was canceled at the last minute on Monday because not enough members were present to form a quorum.
Only Mayor Michael Cindrich and Trustee Jean Farber were in attendance. The board, which is made up of five members in total, can only have a quorum if at least three members are present. Deputy Mayor Anthony Markus, Trustee Karen Schleimer and Trustee Peter Grunthal were absent.
Cindrich and Farber went ahead with a previously scheduled work session, which involves discussion of village issues but does not include voting on resolutions. A quorum is needed in order for votes to be valid.
