It features an 80-foot long slot track with adjustable speeds and is designed for all ages. Drivers are able to design and build their own custom NASCAR body in the Grand Prix Art Garage using supplied sticker kits and then head for the slot track.
After they’re finished racing, drivers can take their cars home with them. Once they’re issued their racing license, racers can then return to Grand Prix for unlimited racing for $5 when the track is available.
Participants can choose from two car party options - “The Auto Body Shop,” which includes cars with stickers and hour of racing, and “The Mechanic’s Shop,” which also includes customized cars and an hour of racing, plus the option for racers to equip their slot cars with a customized racing designs. Assembly and customization are completed in the Grand Prix Art Garage, its new visual arts studio.
“Slot car racing is a logical extension to our existing racing-related offerings and fits very well with our long-term goal of making Grand Prix a destination where families, friends and corporate groups can enjoy time together doing whatever it is they love, all under one roof,” said GPNY Vice President Nat Mundy.
