Mt. Kisco, Mid Hudson Medical Groups Discussing Merger

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- The Mount Kisco Medical Group, PC and Mid Hudson Medical Group, PC have entered into discussions that may lead to the physicians and staff of Mid Hudson joining Mount Kisco.

The Mount Kisco Medical Group (MKMG), which consists of 285 physicians who render care in 30 sites in three counties, was founded in 1946. The Mid Hudson Medical Group, founded in 1955, consists of approximately 120 physicians in 15 sites.

The prospective merger  would give Mount Kisco Medical Group over 400 physicians and 100 mid-level healthcare professionals, with offices in Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Columbia, and Ulster Counties in New York, as well as Sharon, Conn.

The combination of the providers from Mid Hudson will enhance MKMG’s ability to serve a wider spectrum of patient care needs and lead to better healthcare outcomes. The merger would also help the group provide a greater array of preventative and diagnostic services to the communities of the Hudson Valley.

“We are excited about the physicians of Mid Hudson joining Mount Kisco Medical Group. This will better enable us to provide quality, cost effective, coordinated care to the residents of the Hudson Valley. All the physicians having access to the same electronic record system will enhance this goal,” said Dr. Scott D. Hayworth, President and CEO of Mount Kisco Medical Group.
