MOUNT KISCO, N.Y.-- Mount Kisco police are investigating a bank robbery that took place around 12:55 p.m. Tuesday at Mahopac National Bank.
According to police, an employee at the bank, located at 293 Lexington Avenue, reported the robbery. The suspect has been described to police as a white male, in his 40s, unshaven and approximately five foot, six inches. Witnesses say he was wearing khaki shorts, a navy blue windbreaker-type shirt, white baseball cap with gray/blue visor, sunglasses, and possibly light colored sneakers. Witnesses did not observe any weapons.
The male allegedly passed a typewritten note to the bank teller indicating he had a firearm and demanding cash. After securing the cash, the unidentified suspect left the bank, and was seen walking northbound after his exit. No employees were physically harmed.
Mount Kisco Police were assisted by Bedford and New Castle Police Departments, as well as the Westchester County Department of Public Safety K9 and Crime Scene Unit.
