MT. KISCO, N.Y. -- A restaurant of "hits and misses" is how New York Times restaurant critic M.H. Reed described Mt. Kisco's The Rose Room this weekend.

The restaurant, owned by Lisa and Michael Lubic, opened in February on East Main Street. Its website calls it the "most plush restaurant in Mount Kisco".

Reed writes the restaurant has "lots of room and a festive vibe" but on weeknights can "feel a little gloomy".
