MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. – Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) and Children’s and Women’s Physicians of Westchester, LLP (CWPW) announced an agreement Tuesday that will provide pediatric surgical services to patients at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco.
Under the new agreement, CWPW surgeons will provide comprehensive general surgical coverage and services to pediatric patients at NWH’s inpatient unit, emergency department, and level 3 neonatal intensive care unit.
CWPW surgeons will also participate in the NWH’s ongoing quality assurance programs and assist in the ongoing education and training of nurses at the hospital. These programs will aim to enhance the surgical care already in place.
“Northern Westchester Hospital provides high-quality pediatric care for our community and this agreement enables us to ensure that surgical services are continuously available to our youngest patients,” said Marla Koroly, MD, Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Northern Westchester Hospital.
“Our mutual goal through this partnership is to provide the highest level of integrated pediatric surgical care available to Northern Westchester Hospital pediatric patients,” she added.
CWPW’s Chief Executive Officer and FACHE Gerard Villucci echoed Koroly’s excitement over the new agreement.
“We at Children’s & Women’s Physicians of Westchester are very pleased to partner with Northern Westchester Hospital. Our pediatric surgeons are world leaders in the surgical treatment of complex pediatric illnesses and we are proud in bringing state of the art, advanced care to the children we are committed to serve,” he said.
“CWPW is one of the largest medical practices in the region dedicated to providing comprehensive in-patient and out-patient care to infants, children and adolescents throughout the greater New York Metropolitan area, extending from New York City, throughout the Hudson Valley, and into parts of Connecticut,” he added.
