Overturned Vehicles, Accidents Reported As Snow Falls In Westchester

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The snowfall that began falling in the middle of the afternoon Saturday has resulted in several accidents and reports of overturned vehicles.

An accident blocked the left lane of northbound I-95 between Chatsworth Avenue (Exit 17) in Larchmont and Mamaroneck Avenue (Exit 18B).

The accident, reported at 4:43 p.m., resulted in stop-and-go traffic.

An accident, reported at 4:15 p.m., occurred on the northbound Taconic State Parkway between Stevens Avenue and the Sprain Brook Parkway.

Farther south, an accident was reported at 4:37 p.m. on the northbound Sprain Brook between Tuckahoe Road and Jackson Avenue in Yonkers, causing stop-and-go traffic.

An overturned auto was reported on the Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers at 4:55 p.m.

Another overturned auto incident occurred on the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway in Scarsdale just south of Jackson Avenue at 4:54 p.m.
