Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck While Crossing Westchester Road

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A pedestrian was struck by a car in Scarsdale on Thursday morning, leading to the closure of a prominent roadway in the village.

Shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, a pedestrian walking on Brewster Road was struck while crossing Fenimore Road, prompting police to shut down the roadway between Brite Avenue and Dobbs Terrace as police conduct an accident investigation, Capt. Thomas Altizio said.

Altizio said the pedestrian was transported by members of the Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corp. to Westchester County Medical Center for treatment. The condition of the pedestrian was not immediately available.
