MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- The following is an advisory from the Mount Kisco police department.
Advisory: This evening, Thursday May 30, Mt. Kisco will host the Memorial Day Parade. The parade will begin at 7pm. Please allow extra travel time
This evening, Thursday May 30th the Village / Town of Mount Kisco will host the 2013 Memorial Day Parade. The parade will begin at 7:00pm at the Veterans Memorial located between the Oakwood & St Francis Cemeteries located on Lexington Ave between Moore Ave & Smith Ave.
After a short tribute at the Veterans Memorial the parade will proceed east on Smith Avenue and then turn left - northbound on Main Street. The parade will conclude at Village Hall - 104 Main Street, where a memorial ceremony will be conducted by Moses Taylor Post #136 American Legion.
Those planning on attending the event are asked to arrive early to avoid traffic delays.
Motorists / commuters are asked to plan accordingly. Consider seeking an alternate route of travel and or allow extra travel time as road closures will be in effect to include detours during the parade and ceremony at Village Hall.
Members of the Mount Kisco Police Department will be on hand for traffic control. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
