Thomas Austin Hughes Sr., a Mt. Kisco native, died at his current home in Newport, NC on June 15, 2011. He was 68 years old.
Hughes graduated from Fox Lane High School in 1961 before attending the Pratt Institute. He was a Vietnam Marine Corps veteran and had retired from IBM.
Hughes is survived by his wife Betty Lyckberg Hughes, son Thomas Jr. Hughes, grandchildren Ava and Thomas III and siblings John, Margaret and Mary.
A memorial service will be held on August 19 at the Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.
